Joy Behar, co-host of “The View,” has faced criticism for claiming far-left group Antifa isn’t a “real thing.” She referred to Antifa as a “fictitious group” on the ABC show Monday despite its well documented history of violence.
Her remarks came after Sen. Ron Johnson’s (R-Wis.) recent comments about how he would have been afraid of the capitol rioters if they were associated with Antifa or Black Lives Matter. Behar stressed that FBI Director Christopher Wray called Antifa an ideology, not an organization. She then claimed Sen. Johnson fears something that isn’t real.

Fellow co-host Meghan McCain called her comments factually inaccurate. Last year, Antifa notably played a major role in violent protests in several Democrat-run cities such as Portland, Oregon.
